Since the inception of LOAM we have been talking about having an impact arm.
We dreamed of being the next Patagonia with Earth as the primary shareholder. We wanted to do more than just create a better travel platform. We want to truly support our nonprofit partners. The people on the ground who have been protecting these beautiful destinations for generations. The people who have no other choice. And who have been let down, over and over again, by the systems that are supposed to help. The people without whom, the destinations we all love to visit wouldn’t remain.
Initially, we thought we would have to wait to do this. We can only build one thing at a time. But the more people we spoke to about this idea, the more we know, now is the perfect time. Just like us, Philanthropists want to do more than travel better. They want to give locally, where you can truly see the impact of your donations.

So, yet again, we broke all of the rules of these so-called startup playbooks. And we are so incredibly proud to announce LOAM Impact to you all today!
LOAM Impact allows us to raise unrestricted funding on behalf of our conservation partners, giving them flexible capital to invest where it’s needed most, without the constraints that often come with traditional grants. And it allows us to tell more impact stories along the way. Because these stories give us hope, and hope inspires action.
For us, LOAM Impact isn’t a separate initiative. It’s the missing piece that makes travel a more powerful force for conservation in destinations we love.
