Today we’re sharing an important evolution in our journey.

When we started Travaras, our goal was never to create just another travel brand… It was to mindfully build something different; to prove that travel can be a force for good, to cultivate care, uplift communities, and leave places better than they were found.
Over time, our work has evolved.
We’ve moved closer to communities.
We’ve engaged more deeply with cultural practitioners and conservation leaders.
And we saw that the most meaningful journeys weren’t about seeing more—but about building authentic connections and having a positive impact on the destinations we visit.
Along the way, we realized something important: Our name no longer fully held what we were becoming.
That’s why we’re now Loam.
Loam is living soil, formed slowly through care, reciprocity, and balance. It’s what allows life to take root. It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t extract. It holds.
That’s the kind of travel we believe in.
Loam exists to support journeys that are grounded in place, guided by local knowledge, and shaped by mutual respect. Journeys that honor culture, protect ecosystems, and recognize that travel is not a transaction—it’s a relationship.
This isn’t a departure from our vision and mission. It’s an alignment with it.

We are still committed to:
- Centering local communities
- Supporting conservation and cultural preservation
- Designing experiences that create shared benefit, not imbalance
- Practicing care—for people, place, and planet
Loam is simply the name that represents the work we’re doing more fully.
If you’ve traveled with us before, thank you for helping shape what Loam has become. If you’re just discovering us, welcome to Loam – we’re glad you’re here.
We believe travel can be a practice of care.
We believe belonging matters more than consumption.
We believe the future of travel should be regenerative, not extractive.
This is Loam.
And this is the ground we’re choosing to stand on.
