Summer is officially summering. We have spent an incredible week in Greece, going early to avoid the tourist crowds and heat waves, while eating our body weight in pita and tzatziki, before heading onwards to Tuscany, where we are deeply immersed in a sustainable property to learn all about the latest offerings to connect us back to nature, from forest bathing, to foraging, herbal lab, and natural color making classes. It seems clear that the wellness trends go back to a slower, more purposeful pace. Natural elements that ground us in place and ourselves feel exactly like what we all need right now. Is it just me, or is the bio-hacking-bro-area finally coming to a close?

Putting my phone away, listening to the frogs croaking at night, and the Aspen leaves rustle slows down my heart rate and makes me forget about the weight of the world for a moment. Eating delicious food grown in the vibrant gardens right where I am staying always brings me the most joy. Such abundance of flavors and delightful scents everywhere. I love the lavender and rosemary growing on every wall. This is real luxury. Time slowing down, connecting with this place, and of course with friends and family. I think this is what we all crave so much right now. And this is why we are building LOAM the way we are. Slow, thoughtful. With connection and care at the center of it all.

Our latest, exclusive salon events have been as nourishing as the ravioli we learned to make last night and subsequently devoured with absolute reverence. Rich conversations with like-minded people who care about how we move through the world and what we leave behind when we visit a place. Philanthropists and deeply dedicated humans, mostly women to be honest, such a sweet supportive sisterhood, such a joyful meeting of minds and hearts.

We believe this is the kind of go-to-market strategy that’s needed in our world. Meaningful connection over random blasts of Meta ads. Personal invitations amongst friends.

Let us know if you would like to join one of our upcoming salons, or help us host one. It’s such a marvel to be together in this way.

And in the meantime, I truly hope you are savoring these early days of summer and are able to slow down a little as well. And if you want to make your visit to Hawaiʻi just a little more meaningful, add one of our Immersions to your itinerary.

Much love, Lisa
